1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to all quotations, bookings, payments and services provided by Raha Voyage Safaris. If you make a booking on behalf of other travellers, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for everyone included in the booking.
2. Bookings
- All bookings are subject to availability until the required booking deposit has been received and Raha Voyage Safaris has issued written confirmation.
- Unless a quotation or invoice states otherwise, a 30% booking deposit is required to confirm a safari and allow us to secure accommodation, permits, transport and other supplier services.
- Special requests will be accommodated where reasonably possible but cannot always be guaranteed.
- Quoted prices may expire if not accepted within the validity period stated in the quotation.
- Where a booking is made on behalf of several travellers, the lead traveller is responsible for ensuring that all members of the group are aware of and accept these Terms.
3. Payments
Payments may be made using approved methods, including Pesapal where available. Payment schedules stated in a quotation, invoice or booking confirmation form part of the booking agreement.
- Unless otherwise stated, the booking deposit is applied toward the total safari price and is not an additional charge.
- The outstanding balance must be paid by the deadline stated in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation. For bookings made close to the travel date, full payment may be required at the time of confirmation.
- Raha Voyage Safaris may use booking payments to secure services with third-party suppliers, including accommodation providers, Uganda Wildlife Authority, transport providers and activity operators.
- If payment is not received by the agreed deadline, Raha Voyage Safaris may release reservations or cancel the booking after reasonable notice.
- Raha Voyage Safaris does not store your card PIN, CVV, bank password or mobile money PIN.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing as soon as possible. Refunds depend on the amounts that Raha Voyage Safaris is able to recover from suppliers at the time of cancellation.
- The booking deposit may become non-refundable in whole or in part once funds have been committed to accommodation, permits, park fees, transport or other supplier reservations.
- Where a supplier permits a refund, any refundable balance will be returned after deducting non-refundable supplier charges, payment-processing or bank charges, and other costs already committed specifically to the booking.
- Supplier-specific cancellation conditions may apply to particular accommodation, permits or activities and will take precedence where those conditions are stricter.
- No refund is normally available for no-shows or for services voluntarily not used after the safari has begun, except where required by applicable law.
- If Raha Voyage Safaris must cancel a confirmed booking for reasons within our reasonable control, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund recoverable amounts paid for services not provided.
- Where cancellation or major changes result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure, refunds will be subject to the amounts recoverable from the relevant suppliers.
- Refund processing times may vary depending on suppliers, banks and payment providers.
5. Changes to Itineraries
We may make reasonable changes to accommodation, routes, vehicles, guides or activity timing where necessary because of weather, road conditions, safety concerns, park regulations, operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control. Equivalent alternatives will be arranged whenever reasonably possible.
6. Passports, Visas and Travel Documents
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates and any other documents required for entry into Uganda or any destination visited.
7. Health and Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss and personal liability is strongly recommended. Travellers should disclose any medical condition that could affect participation in booked activities.
8. Traveller Conduct
- Follow instructions given by guides and park authorities.
- Respect wildlife, local communities and protected environments.
- Illegal or dangerous behaviour may result in termination of services without refund where permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
Raha Voyage Safaris acts as organiser of travel services and is not responsible for losses caused by events outside its reasonable control, including acts or omissions of independent suppliers except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, park closures or severe weather.
11. Wildlife and Adventure Activities
Safari activities involve inherent risks. Travellers participate at their own risk and agree to comply with safety instructions. Distances from wildlife must be respected at all times.
12. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute shall, where not resolved amicably, be submitted to the competent courts of Uganda.
