Queen Elizabeth Safari Experience

Welcome and Transfer

You will be picked up from the airport by our professional driver/guide who will brief you about the trip. You will then be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the journey, we will stop at the Uganda Equator for a water experiment, pictures, and craft shopping. After lunch at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara, we will continue southwest towards the Western Rift Valley.

Upon entering the park, we will embark on a mini game drive in search of wildlife including Kobs, Buffaloes, Elephants, Hippos, Lions, and Leopards before checking in at the lodge.

Day 1 – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your adventure begins with a pickup from the airport (depending on your flight time) by our professional driver/guide. After a brief about your safari, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way:

Day 2 – Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day starts early with a morning game drive in Kasenyi plains, aiming to spot wildlife such as Bushbucks, Waterbucks, Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, and more in their natural habitat.

The game drive typically lasts 3-4 hours before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers a chance to see abundant wildlife, hundreds of birds, and numerous hippos cooling off at the shores. It will be a highlight of your safari.

Return to Twin Lakes Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Queen Elizabeth to Kampala

After breakfast, take a tour to Katwe Salt Lake, the largest of the two productive salt lakes in this park and western Uganda. Learn about the local salt extraction process and the protective gear used by the workers. We will then proceed to Entebbe with a lunch stop at Agip Motel in Mbarara. En route, there will be another stop at the Equator for a toilet break and souvenir shopping.
