Kampala / Entebbe to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, meet your Raha Voyage Safaris driver-guide and begin your journey to western Uganda. Travel through beautiful countryside, local communities, farms and scenic landscapes on the way towards Fort Portal and the Kibale region. Suitable stops will be made for refreshments and lunch during the journey. Upon arrival in Kibale, check into your lodge and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the following day’s chimpanzee trekking experience.

Accommodation: Comfortable mid-range lodge in the Kibale National Park area. Dinner and overnight.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, transfer to the chimpanzee trekking briefing point where you will meet experienced guides and rangers. After the briefing, enter Kibale Forest in search of habituated chimpanzees. During the trek, enjoy the sights and sounds of the tropical rainforest while learning about chimpanzee behaviour, other primates, birds and plant species. Once the chimpanzees are located, enjoy the permitted viewing experience and take photographs while following the guidance of the ranger team. After the trek, return for lunch and relaxation. Later, you may choose an optional guided visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching, primate viewing and a community experience.

Kibale National Park to Kampala / Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Travel through the scenic landscapes of western and central Uganda with suitable stops for refreshments, lunch and photography along the way. On arrival, your Raha Voyage Safaris driver-guide will transfer you to your agreed hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your 3-day Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari.

Accommodation: No accommodation included on the final day unless arranged as part of your onward travel plans.
