Welcome and Arrival
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly representative guide/driver. They will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to the Rwenzori Mountains, renowned as the "Mountains of the Moon." This trek will take you through some of Uganda’s most breathtaking highland landscapes. After arriving at the base of the mountains, you will check in to your lodge, where you can rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 1 – Arrival and Preparation
On arrival at the Rwenzori Mountains:
- Warm welcome by our representative guide/driver.
- Assistance with luggage and transfer to your lodge near the mountains.
- Travel through the scenic highland landscapes of southwestern Uganda.
- Check-in at the lodge and time to relax or prepare for the trek.
In the evening:
- Enjoy a relaxing dinner at the lodge.
- Option to attend a briefing session about the upcoming trek and safety guidelines.

Day 2 – Trekking the Rwenzori Mountains
Your day begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by a guided trek through the Rwenzori Mountains. You’ll explore the diverse landscapes, including lush rainforests, alpine meadows, and rugged terrain. The trek will offer opportunities to see glaciers and unique flora and fauna. After a full day of hiking:
- Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
- Spend the afternoon enjoying the stunning views or taking a short acclimatization walk.
In the evening:
- Relax at the lodge with dinner and recount the day’s experiences.
