Welcome to Uganda & Transfer to Kibale Forest

Your Raha Voyage Safaris driver-guide welcomes you in Entebbe or Kampala, gives you a safari briefing and begins the scenic journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Travel through Uganda’s countryside, stopping for lunch on the way before arriving near the rainforest for dinner and overnight.

Chimpanzee Trekking & Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, report to Kanyanchu for the chimpanzee trekking briefing. Enter Kibale Forest with an experienced guide and search for chimpanzees and other primates. After the trek, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening at your safari lodge.

Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start with an early game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks and other wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and abundant birdlife.

Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Travel south through Queen Elizabeth National Park toward Ishasha. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way and watch for elephants, buffaloes, topis, Uganda kobs, leopards and other savannah species before checking into your lodge.

Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

Explore Ishasha in search of its famous tree-climbing lions, then continue through the beautiful south-western landscape to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive at your selected lodge in the Buhoma or Ruhija area for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After breakfast, meet Uganda Wildlife Authority guides for a gorilla trekking briefing and enter Bwindi’s rainforest. The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location. After your mountain gorilla encounter, return for lunch and later enjoy a Batwa cultural experience.

Return to Kampala / Entebbe

After breakfast, begin the return journey through Kabale and Mbarara. Stop for lunch and visit the Equator before continuing to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of your seven-day Uganda primate and wildlife safari.
